Huascar Lopez, Founder & CEO at CashFx Group

Huascar Lopez was Born in the Dominican Republic and lived in the Dominican Republic until he was five years old. He then moved to Puerto Rico, where he spent most of his life. Huascar Lopez had a very active childhood and played many sports, but the one sport that captured his attention more than anything else was soccer.

Huascar Lopez had an older brother who also played soccer, and they both were huge fans of the sport. They would always get together with their friends to watch games on television or play in tournaments with their school teams. During this time, Huascar Lopez first realized that he wanted to play soccer professionally, but playing professionally wasn’t an option for him because of his heritage.

In high school, Huascar Lopez began playing for a local club team called “La Barracuda,” where he met people who would help him achieve his goal of playing professional soccer in Europe.

After high school, Huascar Lopez moved back to Puerto Rico. He continued his education at “The University of Puerto Rico,” earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics. He continued playing soccer and continuing his studies. When the opportunity presented itself, he would be ready to move overseas, which eventually happened when the opportunity came up for him to play with Club Nacional de Football de Puerto Rico (CNF). Among his noteworthy achievements, Huascar Lopez was able to play for the CNF from 1996-to 2000 and helped them win a national championship in 1999, which is considered one of the most prestigious achievements in all of Puerto Rico’s sporting history.
