Tom Keane at the British Computer Society

This article is about Thomas Keane. Tom Keane is a Corporate Vice-President of Azure Global, a Cloud Computing Company Under the Microsoft Umbrella. He is a Senior Principal Program Manager at Microsoft, responsible for the Azure Stack Program, the Cloud-Native Computing Foundation, the Azure IoT Hub, the Azure Container Service and Storage, and the Azure Stack Program. Tom Keane joined Microsoft in 2012 after several years at IBM as a Senior Director of IBM’s Software Group.

He has over 20 years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and managing large-scale software systems and leading teams of architects and developers to build enterprise-class applications. Software engineer Tom Keane started his career at Hewlett Packard.

These, including AS/400 mainframe systems, Unix workstations, and servers for e-business applications. Tom Keane went to IBM, where he became a Senior Manager for Systems Design & Development in New York City, then joined KPMG LLP.

Here, following up with huge success through his professional career, Tom Keane served as a Managing Director in London until Keane returned to Microsoft as part of its acquisition of KPMG’s consulting practice. He is an active member of the British Computer Society (BCS) and a member of the London Software Makers Association. In addition, Tom Keane serves on the Executive Committee of New York City’s United in Innovation Council.

He is a member of the Program Management Committee for the DevOps Enterprise Summit. Through his determination and drive, Tom Keane has become the architect of Azure. Azure is a cloud computing company under the Microsoft umbrella and is multiplying. For this reason, we believe that Tom Keane will be instrumental in Microsoft’s continued success in cloud computing.
