Jonathan Cornelissen Wants His Employees to Love Their Job

Jonathan Cornelissen is the founder and CEO of his company DataCamp. In his blog he talks about all sorts of things that have to do with his company and the people that work for him. Below is a preview of some of Jonathan’s blog that will give you a look into the man and a glimpse into the company he has built. Companies are having trouble filling positions that deal with data science. Normal education routes do not have the funds to train enough people because the cost is so high. Even some data scientists and analysts do not have the tools they need to become data fluent. In another blog post Cornelissen talks about employee engagement. He feels that if you give an employee a place to work that makes them love their job, you are doing something right. He takes surveys from his employees to access how the employee feels about their work environment.

 

This is also an additional tool for him to find out if there are things that can be done to make it even better. One blog post that the specialist educator talks about transparency. He shares information on all aspects of his company whether it be things they need to improve on or things they have already improved on. This information is open to anyone in the company to learn about. Salaries at his company is not included in the transparencies but would be if he he ever starts another company.
