Gino Pozzo’s Father Believes That His Son Is Doing A Fantastic Job At Watford

Before the resumption of football activities in European topflight leagues, Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo shared his opinion. Sporting events were brought to a sudden halt when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world. The Italian sports entrepreneur told the press that Italy’s Serie A appeared realistic to resume football events ahead of the proceedings in English Premier League. His sentiment came at a time when Italy was witnessing higher infections and deaths than the rest of the world. See This Article for more information.

Giampaolo couldn’t talk about the Premier League without mentioning Watford Football Club, a team his family acquired in 2012. Two years after owning the club, Giampaolo’s son, Gino Pozzo, became the sole owner of the Hornets. It only took Gino Pozzo a year after taking over the administration for the club to gain promotion into the Premier League.

Since 2015, Watford has consistently maintained its status as a perennial Premier League club. Gino Pozzo was born in Udine, Italy- the place where Udinese is located. Through passion, his family sold some business to finance the club that was on the brink of collapsing. The Watford owner isn’t new to the activities of the club because he previously owned Granada Football Club in Spain. He would later sell his majority stakes to a Chinese investor to focus on the proceeding at the Vicarage Road.

His father praised him for steering the club in the right direction in the league considered to be the toughest. Only a season ago, Watford surprised sports pundits when the club reached the FA Cup Final, only to lose to the dominant Manchester City. Gino Pozzo has also overseen the expansion program that has made Vicarage Road Stadium accommodate additional spectators.

While appreciating his son’s effort for achieving the goals, Giampaolo urged Pozzo to continue with the good work. The old Pozzo was particularly impressed with the mechanism that his son had employed to ensure that Udinese and Watford shift players considered being excess in either direction.
