Betsy DeVos and Learning About Planes

There aren’t many people who know how to mimic Betsy DeVos. That’s because she has one of the hardest roles in the world. It’s not easy to guide the way for an expansive educational system in a country like the United States. That’s precisely what she does on a daily basis, though. President Donald J. Trump doesn’t act shocked by her abilities. He knows that she’s an educational gem. He knows that she takes the concept of improving schooling matters in America 110 percent seriously.

Since DeVos prioritizes schooling so much, it’s no shocker that she has a good educational background. She’s an alumnus of a private liberal arts favorite that’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It’s called Calvin College. She studied so many diverse and meaningful subjects while she was a part of the educational institution. She wasn’t just a student who did amazingly well in the classroom. That’s because she was also a force to be reckoned with in the extracurricular activity sector. She took part in many different political activities as a youngster. She was signed up to Calvin College as “Elisabeth Prince.” That name came from her caring parents. Her dad was a Midwestern industrialist who knew that he wanted big things for his bright-eyed daughter. He didn’t want her to avoid working in this lifetime. He wanted her to be a person that other individuals could admire greatly. She’s been that kind of person for ages and ages.

The Dick and Betsy DeVos Family Foundation isn’t a laughing matter to DeVos. It’s something that she holds extremely close to her heart. Her husband, Dick, feels just as enthusiastic about it. They made the organization come to fruition as a team in 1989. They had been man and wife for roughly 10 amazing years back then. Their wedding ceremony was a lovely one that took place in the Midwest in 1979. DeVos got married not long after she left her schooling experience at the previously mentioned Calvin College.

Educational topics make DeVos feel like anything is possible. She likes to ask hard-working teachers questions. She goes to elementary schools that are in the middle of bustling cities. She goes to high schools that are smaller and that are in quieter suburbs as well. She doesn’t shy away from the concept of getting the answers she needs. The more information she has, the more effective she can be as the Education Secretary. She wants students to have the chance to learn all about the ways of charter schools. She wants educational vouchers to become a lot more common everywhere. She knows that mothers and fathers in America are in many cases unable to pay for their kids’ educational journeys. She knows that there are many kids in the country who have to go to schools that do not “fit” them simply because they reside in the wrong communities.

DeVos’ husband owns Grand Rapids’ celebrated West Michigan Aviation Academy. It’s not just a charter school. It’s also an aviation education wonder.
