Making an Impact
“Making a sustainable future possible” is the mission statement Cleanaway serves. As acting CEO, Bansal has aided in the development of Footprint 2025. The strategy serves to sustainably manage waste deposits and ensure infrastructural resource recovery. Part of the initiative is to evaluate current technology of the company, and determine its capabilities comparative to reducing Australia’s carbon footprint. One way this process is evaluated is through recycling practices.
Cleanaway is working tirelessly to recover higher quantities of reusable material found in waste products. Along with Vik Bansal Cleanaway’s initiative, Cleanaway is recovering more reusable inorganic material from residual waste sent to landfills. The initiative is also using organic matter to generate renewable energy. Cleanaway recovers gas omitted from waste decomposition, and uses the energy to power homes.
