A Recap of Michael Asot

Asot Michael is a cabinet secretary and an MP for Antigua and Barbuda. He is the current parliamentary representative for St. Peter for the Labour party. Michael Asot was born in Guadeloupe in 1969 into a family that was active in politics. His family later on relocated to the Caribbean to escape war and poverty that stroked their area. Most of his family members grew up to be successful and active in politics due to Michael’s grandfather’s hard. He always worked hard to ensure that he provides for his family and help them build a better life. Michael’s grandfather also ensured that he made various opportunities that he did not have access to his family. Michael Asot attended his secondary school at St. Joseph’s Academy. He later joined Barry University where he graduated with Honors in Business Administration and graduated with economics and finance. Besides, he also has an MBA from Miami University.

Michael Asot then went back to Antigua after his studies to work in their family business. Being interested in politics, Michael got his first position in government as a Special Administrative assistant. After that, his first post, he climbed the ranks quickly until he was appointed as the Minister of Finance and Government Business Leader in the Senate. Asot Michael is dedicated to serving the community and has started several projects to develop primary schools in the Antigua area. He is also looking forward to improving St. Peter’s primary, which will make the community productive in the coming years. He has made several contributions to make these plans he has to become a reality. He visited several schools in the area to get to know the challenges affecting them. As the area MP, he realized several schools in the area needed rehabilitation. He supplied facilities to the various schools to ensure students in those schools continue learning eve as the rehabilitation process continues. He ensured the students got the facilities they need for their respective grades.
