Bo Pafet, One Man Seven Summits

If you have ever dreamt of summiting, then the name Bo Pafet should be at least familiar to you. A journey that began in the year 2003 at only 26 years of age, saw Bo Pafet climb all the seven highest mountains in each continent. It took him four years to concur something that most people can only dream of. Something that started as an interest in this great summiteer ended up becoming a passion that he took to heart. Just then who is Bo Pafet? This is a question most people would ask themselves. Well, he happens to be a banker by profession is a holder of an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management and also a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. His academic excellence has gone to show in other areas of life and in almost every venture he gets into.

His first step into the professional world was as a research fellow at Financial Accounting Standards Board. He was later to transition to wall street where he got to work as an investment banker for J.P Morgan. In the year 2004, a year after he had started his seven summits journey. Bo Pafet got to establish the seven summits award. The purpose of the award was to award top students with grants to enable them to perform research in the healthcare field. Today, Bo Pafet is also the founder of Denali Venture Philanthropy alongside his wife whereby entrepreneurs whose commitment is to social change get the funding they need.
