Boris Ivanov And The Experience He Gained When He Was With Gazprom
Boris Ivanov is a Russian businessman who was born in Moscow. Boris Ivanov has experience in oil and gas and in the banking industry. He is currently the founder of an oil exploration and production company called GPB Global Resources. Mr. Ivanov attended one of the top Soviet diplomatic schools in Russia. Before Boris Ivanov got into the banking or oil and gas industry he started his career as a started diplomat. The experience that Mr. Ivanov received when he was a diplomat helped his overall career in the long run. The reason why is because while he was a diplomat he learned how to negotiate and how to conduct international business.
In 1991 Boris Ivanov received his first job in banking as an executive for a bank in Russia called Unibest Bank. This is when Boris Ivanov received his first experience in the oil and gas industry as well. Mr. Ivanov was put in charge of several different oil and gas projects for the Unibest Bank. Eventually, Mr. Ivanov went on to accept a position as an advisor of the Russian bank called Gazprom. In 2007 Mr. Ivanov was promoted by Gazprom run the Gazprom EP International division. Mr. Ivanov’s duties for his new position was to seek out oil and gas exploration projects.
Mr. Ivanov held this position for four years until 2011. Mr. Ivanov had gained enough knowledge about the oil and gas industry by this time. So he decided to leave the company and found his own company called GPB Global Resources which he is the majority shareholder in. GPB Global Resources are currently home-based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The company has offices internationally and operates its oil production and exploration efforts internationally as well. GPB Global Resources does tend to focus most of its oil production and explorations efforts on the continents of Africa and South America.
