Gino Pozzo

On the twenty-first of December 1991 at Watford Park, Gino Pozzo was appointed manager of Watford FC Football Club. And on that day he made his debut, leading the team against Birmingham City in the Sky Bet Championship.

Ten years on, today he is still the Watford FC manager and the story of his life has been a success. He earned a Master’s from Harvard University when he was 18 years old, and started his career as a young footballer in the early nineties. Gino made his debut as Watford’s head coach. And before the first match, he had already accepted responsibility for managing the first team and overseeing all aspects of the football club. And while he was doing this he started to improve the players on the football team and build up the mentality that he had always wanted from them.

Today Gino is known as the father of the Watford FC Manager. During his time as manager, the football club won three promotion to the top division, and Gino even took the players on the trips to play some famous football clubs. Gino Pozzo was also the pioneer of taking the club to different parts of the world and today plays an important role in getting Watford FC Football Club worldwide recognition.

The Watford Football Club has been founded as a team, but under Gino, the dream of success for the football club has become bigger, and he has worked hard for it. After the legendary goalkeeper Tony Cottee died, Gino stepped up as the new captain of the Watford FC and took the helm of the Watford FC Football Club.

As a result of his faith in his team, the current club crest was created by Gino Pozzo himself. The Watford FC crest is called as a Medallion, which was inspired by the Medallion of Emperor Trajan.
