Sonoda is also a Visiting Lecturer at San Diego State University. He has worked as an Adjunct Professor for over 10 years, teaching Graphic Design, Brand Development and Entrepreneurship courses. Sonoda has received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of California in San Diego.
He has also studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
