Low Cost Electricity for People Living in Rural Areas
PosiGen Energy is a privately held Ohio-based energy retailer that was founded in 2006 by Dave and Kathy Brown. Our company began with the goal of providing free or low-cost electricity to people living in rural, low-income areas (mostly Appalachia and the Ozark Mountains). Over time, PosiGen has grown from a small operation to one of Ohio’s largest retail electric providers. PosiGen’s mission is to build an energy company that puts people first, by assisting our customers with an efficient and easy way of managing their electric needs.
PosiGen is a participating retail electric provider in the Ohio Power Saver Program. The Ohio Power Saver Program (OPSP) works to help low-income households save money on their electric bills, and in turn, reduce energy usage. Our team members work directly with the OPSP to submit applications for low-income families. The OPSP at PosiGen allows us to work with many families who are not on the normal waiting list and cannot qualify for discounted energy rates through your local power company or government assistance agencies. PosiGen’s retail electric customers come from all parts of Ohio, and many different backgrounds.
At PosiGen solar power company, we offer a diverse range of programs designed to help each customer manage their home’s electricity consumption better. We have multiple plans available for businesses and homeowners to choose the one that is best for them. These plans can be tailored for your specific needs. Recently, PosiGen was able to hold a charity toy drive to aid the families of children at the local King’s College in rural eastern Ohio. The toy drive was used to provide new toys for the children at King’s College, a local preschool that serves approximately 170 students from ages 2 months through 5 years old. The children come from families of low income, and often need extra assistance with school supplies. The toys were donated by local business owners and employees.
